Dramarama - Anything, Anything (I’ll Give You)
I don’t know (forgive me) anything, anything about Dramarama besides the fact that they have one of the stupider band names in the vast expanse that is 80’s pop and that their biggest hit was one of the stupider songs to be a big hit. As far as I can tell, it’s about a rich cokehead trying to get a girl to give him the attention he needs, but really, she’s depressed because her boyfriend is an insane premature ejaculator cokehead who will never be a good lover or a halfway decent father (forgiving the fact that he’s also in a band with a fantastically stupid name). I feel like, at different points in my life, I have been on both sides of the equation. Feel free to put Dramarama in context for me, but know that I’m perfectly fine with the understanding of them (and this song) I have now.
